Bangor Meets New York

This summer, Carmen McCracken from DKY Hair Company embarks on a new project with the distinguished Demirjian Salons in the USA. Carmen will be working in Vasken Demirjian’s salon for 1 month as part of a trial exchange programme. We are very excited to be able to offer this opportunity to Carmen and are hopeful that this will become a regular yearly exchange between the 2 salons.

DKY Hair Company Staff Training Update

In 2013, Christine Duncan, one of the partners in the salon completed her Alfaparf Milano master award in which she received a distinction. Christine also attended a four day creative colour and cutting course in Saco Academy in London.

Michelle Young and Sarah Stevenson attended a creative Tigi cutting course in Spring 2013.

Four of our team members recently attended the prestigious Saco Academy in London, Laura & Kerry did a 5 day creative cutting and colouring course, whilst Carmen & Sarah participated in the four day foundation course.

Veronica Pugh attended a classic and advanced Toni & Guy cutting course, she also attended an advanced upstyle course with the renowned Patrick Cameron and very talented Martha Galvin.

DKY Hair Company Graduates

The DKY Graduate Programme launched in October 2012, our first Graduate student is Carmen McCracken who, for the final 6 months of her training will be accepting models at reduced prices from Tuesday through to Saturday at DKY Hair Company, please contact the salon to make an appointment.

Wella Trend Vision Awards 2011

We’re proud to announce that 2 members of DKY Hair Company’s team got through to the Northern Ireland Wella regional finals of Trend Vision that took  place Belfast in September 2011. Although we did not win on this occasion we want to take this opportunity to congratulate Laura Rogers & Carmen McCracken, we’re extremely proud of them for getting in to the final, well done to both of them.

Fantastic Hair Dresser Awards 2011

2 of our team members Kerry Moody & Veronica Pugh got through to the Irish Fantastic Hair Dresser Awards 2011 held in Cork. Unfortunately this award was not ours to take home but we had a fantastic time participating and where honoured to have made it into the finals, congratulations girls! Look forward to next year!
